but... when I select this trait, I don't get a selection box to select one of the two skills...

jira.pcgen.org - open a data bug. Someone eventually will fix it.
To fix it yourself, find a similar trait, and see how the choose interacts with the CSKILL tag. ;)
Should be something like a MULT:YES w/ CHOOSE:SKILL|x|y w/ CSKILL:LIST w/ BONUS:SKILL|%LIST|1|TYPE=Trait
