Re: [pcgen] Pathfinder: Skills not showing up on character sheet.

Epilogue to the story? Our merciful DM let my friend swap out one of her feats for Heavy Armor Proficiency. I think he was also embarrassed that he hadn't realized that Clerics in PF don't get Heavy Armor as a class feature. But anyway, now all is right in the world (except for the dropped skill on the list! But that's not a big deal).

Thanks again, Andrew and the rest of you on the PCGen team, for all that you do! I hope you know how much you're appreciated in my little corner of the Great Mitten State.

Best,

John

Ugh. Forgot that in PF Clerics aren't proficient with heavy armor. My friend, totally new to PCGen, didn't realize that if an item's text was red it meant you weren't technically able to use it. So she bought full plate (per my suggestion, I might add).

Anyway, mystery solved!

There is nothing in the Pathfinder rules that says that being encumbered gives you a negative To Hit. PCGen thinks so, but it's wrong.

Hi John,

Your friend is encumbered. 43 allowed for Light, current weight at 68
makes the encumbrance show up as medium. Applies the -5 to hit for the
Armor being worn. Lose the weight, and the penalty will be removed.

Cheers,
Andrew
