Re: [pcgen] Deity Requirements?

The Pathfinder Society Complete Rules only includes the sources that have been set up to abide by the PFS restrictions. By design, since the conversion monkey of Mark Means, is not always available, and thus you can load sources outside the rules. The caveat is you are expected to know the rules and self-police. That source tells you exactly what it loads.

INCLUDED SOURCES:
Core Rulebook
Roleplaying Guild Guide v8
Pathfinder Society Chronicle Sheets
Advanced Class Guide
Advanced Player's Guide
Advanced Race Guide
Bestiary
Bestiary 2
Bestiary 3
Pathfinder Unchained
Ultimate Combat
Ultimate Equipment
Ultimate Magic
Ultimate Campaign
Princes of Darkness - Book of the Damned, Volume 1
Lords of Chaos - Book of the Damned, Volume 2
Dark Markets - A Guide to Katapesh (Conversion)
Dragon Empires Gazetteer
Guide to the River Kingdoms
Heart of the Jungle
Inner Sea Bestiary
Inner Sea Combat
Inner Sea World Guide
Pathfinder Society Field Guide
Seekers of Secrets - A Guide to the Pathfinder Society
Adventurer's Armory
Andoran, Spirit of Liberty
Animal Archive
Blood of Angels
Blood of Fiends
Blood of the Moon
Cheliax, Empire of Devils
Dragon Empires Primer
Dungeoneer's Handbook
Dwarves of Golarion
Faiths of Balance
Faiths of Corruption
Faiths of Purity
Gnomes of Golarion
Goblins of Golarion
Halflings of Golarion
Inner Sea Primer
Orcs of Golarion
People of the Stars
Pirates of the Inner Sea
Qadira, Gateway to the East
Sargava the Lost Colony
Varisia, Birthplace of Legends

Now, I don't really mess with PFS sets. It's a separate project, and I leave it be. But the settings for PFS are in those PFS subfolders.

Groetus        !PRECHARACTERTYPE:1,PC    TYPE:PFSNotLegal

So, apparently Faiths of Balance says it's not valid.

Submit a data bug, and I'll assign it to the PFS maintainer.  https://jira.pcgen.org or https://pcgenorg.atlassian.net

Thanks for the quick response.  To answer your questions, yes, I realize I am playing in PFS and there are certain restrictions.  However, Groetus IS a valid choice for a PFS character (http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2pi2y?Gods-Authorized-for-PFS#1) and I CAN select him from the Deity dropdown on the main page. What does not work is a cleric (or inquisitor in my case) getting things like proficiency in the deities favored weapon (heavy flail).  My hypothesis is that because it is marked as not a PC option, it doesn't grant it.  My question is, why and where is it set to be not a PC option?

Now, for sources, I do see that "Pathfinder RPG" is selected rather than "Pathfinder Society Organized Play".  However, I would think "Pathfinder RPG" would be even less exclusive then PFS Play.  Just for testing, I loaded "Pathfinder Society Organized Play" with the default data set and created an Inquisitor of Groetus but it is the same.  No proficiency with a Heavy Flail and it still is not bolded on the Domain tab and says it is not a PC type.

Next, based on your suggestions, I explicitly added the Inner Sea Gods and Inner Sea World Guide books to the Pathfinder Society Complete Rules and NOW it works correctly.  So, maybe my problem is that I don't understand how the Sources tab works.  I had assumed that if I selected a Game mode of "Pathfinder Society Organized Play" which auto selects a data source of "Pathfinder Society Complete Rules", it would truly be the complete set of rules open to PFS play.  However, it looks like it only makes some rules and you have to manually add all the other sources.  If this is true, is there any game setting that automatically loads everything legal for PFS play?

Thanks!
Brian
