Just following up on this, the bonuses I mentioned above are specifically not available as GM awards.  I should have mentioned that I had already checked that.

I also don't see anywhere on the Summary tab that allows me to add a note that appears on the character sheet.

(I should mention that I am running PCGen 6.06.01, but it didn't seem like newer versions would have added any of these things.)

As far as writing custom LST data... maybe that would work, but it seems a little above my pay grade to learn to do this.

I appreciate the suggestions, and just wanted to post an update.

!! if you literally want some text which will print, rather than a formula which modifies the PCGen calculations and displays, then:

* go to the Description tab
* at the bottom of the left column, click the button [Add Note]
* you get an empty text box - type free-form plain text into this... It will print at the end of the character sheet.

!! if what you want can be accomplished by a spell (possibly a specific caster level), or a magic item, possibly customised
then
a) (spell) use the Temporary Bonuses tab, and make sure they are active one the Character tab

b) magic item. Create a custom item, give it a name, give it for free. You can create quite a lot with Wondrous items, and can create slotless items.
It's a fake, but it will work.

!! if you want PCGen to do the maths for you, for an arbitrary effect, and print the result on the characetr sheet, then you are going to have to do some LST programming, or find someone to do it for you.
