[pcgen] Pcgen.sh: 98: exec: java: Permission Denied

I'm sorry for being a bit newbish. Love the program. I'm running the most recent stable ubuntu with Oracle java 8. Whenever I run pcgen.sh from terminal, I get the title.

Whenever I execute the pcgen.jar, I get an error saying all the important folders aren't installed in the home directory. If I install them into the home directory, still get the warning, and this is both my just moving them, and selectively executing them.

Any help to get this up and running would be appreciated, I looked at all the similar problems I could find, but haven't found an answer.
