In Pathfinder, you can "upgrade" weapons provided that the weapon is of Masterwork quality, paying the difference of what you have vs what you want and without selling the original. For example, in the game I pay for a Masterwork Longsword, and then save up my money to add a +1 enchantment later on down the line. Once that time comes, I just pay the 1000gp to have the sword enchanted.I noticed that there is no real way to do this here. In order to "upgrade", you have to sell the current item, rebuy the item with the correct enchantment, and then adjust your gold for the difference. Is there any way that modifications can be made to an item once it is purchased, and without the round about back and forth? This does not include changing base materials.. like steel to adamantine.. this is only for adding enchantments and magic effects to an already masterwork item.
Hi
No there is no way to upgrade an item in your inventory. But, you can change the exchange rate to sell at 100%, sell the original item and then buy the upgraded item. This adjusts your gold correctly, without a lot of faff.
I usually click the allow debt button too.
