[pcgen] Post 6.06.00 Release - Content Team

Hi folks,

It is a time honored tradition at the PCGen Project to recognize our volunteers and commend the hard work and dedication after every Production Release. It is also tradition for the respective Silverback of each team to award the volunteers under them (who have given time and effort to the project) to be promoted through our Monkey Hierarchy! Those that achieve the rank of Chimp have given a lot of time and are experienced in their respective area of focus. These monkeys are given the privilege to weigh in on heavy matters concerning new proposals.

Well, 6.04.00 was released September of 2014, 6.06.00 is out March 2016. 18 months of hard work and very little recognition sadly. To attempt to rectify that a bit, I want to recognize our newest data monkey on the team who came out swinging his arms and taking on some impressive bug fixes. Our very own oiml - Johannes E!

The monkey ranks are Lemur, Tamarin, Gibbon and Chimp.

The follow members of the content team contributed and are hereby promoted:

  • Liang-yip is awarded with the rank of Lemur for the Documentation team.
  • Johannes E. is awarded with the rank of Lemur for the Data team.
  • Ryan Johnston is awarded with the rank of Lemur for the Data team.
  • Andrew Wilson* is awarded with the rank of Tamarin for the Data team.
  • Mark Means* is awarded with the rank of Tamarin for the Data team.
  • Paul Shipley is awarded with the rank of Gibbon for the Data team.
  • Doug Limmer is awarded with the rank of Chimp for the Data team.
* = no wiki entry.

Special mentions:
Stefan Radermacher for improving several OS issues
James Dempsey and Tom Parker for their involvement with OS improvements via refining the Freemarker Template.

Please welcome me in congratulating all of these fine monkeys!

Sadly, many people have submitted bug fixes but never stuck around long enough to get to know them well. I'd like to thank everyone who submitted a fix but never got recognized for it (except in our release notes).

The entire list of contributors for the entire 6.06.00 cycle is:

We have a wiki that is supposed to track active membership and status, unfortunately many new people have not gotten added, and for that I will apologize.

If you wish to join any of the teams and have formal recognition for your service, please contact me or your respective team Silverback. If by some chance I missed you, please contact me.

Also, many thanks to our active community for reporting issues through our various channels. Without their feedback many fixes would not have made it in.

Finally, without our dedicated volunteers (adding features and fixing bugs) PCGen would not improve. Please join me in thanking these monkeys for their contributions, every day counts!

Cheers,
Andrew Maitland
